CAPACETE 10 year in New York
Exhibition with artists Ducha, Jean-Pascal-Flavien and Gabriel Lester ats Fridrich Petzel Gallery (opening 9 of february) and at Art in General (opening 7 of february). This exhibition comemorates 10 years of CAPACETE's activety in Rio de Janeiro. For this occasion a catalogue with text by argentinian critic Teresa Riccardi and otheres will be published.

Videobrasil and CAPACETE launches residency programme

Beginning in 2007, a permanent programme will expand the action of Associação Cultural Videobrasil in the field of artistic residencies.
Backed by the Prince Claus Fund, the Videobrasil Residency Programme will be launched at the 16th Videobrasil and will grant, in its first phase, eight residencies in France, The Netherlands, and Brazil to four Brazilian artists and four foreign ones, in 2008 and 2009.
The Programme includes partnerships with Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains, the Consulate General of France in Brazil, the Aliança Francesa, the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, and the WBK Vrije Academie, and counts on the collaboration of Instituto Sacatar and Capacete Entretenimentos.

4/03/07 - .... 2008 - "Viewer" is the latest in a series of architectural structures built by Flavien, starting with "The Cabin" in Chicago in 1994. "Viewer" was first conceived in a series of drawings, which were recently regrouped, along with related texts, in a publication also titled "Viewer" by Flavien, published by Devonian Press in 2006.
"Viewer" will be in Maricá until 2008 and can be visited under appointment at 22852824
